The Avalon brand was used by the Henry Stadlmair Co. in New York. Not many Oscar Schmidt "Avalon" guitars appear on the market.
This one is a great example of an all solid birch concert size Schmidt guitar
with an Avalon brandeed headstock and Avalon paper label inside. THe label is in ver good conditon and almost intact. The guitar has the beautiful decalcomania "gold leaf" rosette, which is in great condition too. It has a fresh neck set, a new nut and new bridge pins. Crackfree top, three repaired back cracks and two tiny cracks in the sides, all solid and stable. New vintage style tuners.
This is a great player with a balanced tone, strong bass and singing trebles. Comes with an chipboardcase.
