A 109: 1920's Oscar Schmidt "Stella" standard size.  Solid spruce top, solid birch back and sides. Poplar neck. Recent neckreset and refretted fingerboard makes this to an really great player. New vintage style ebony bridge, new bone nut.  Top edge and soundhole bound with white celluloid and beautifully colored purfling. Some hairline back cracks and two side cracks are professional and very well repaired. Decalcomania strip through center of back. Original yellow paper label. The guitar has a very nice patina and looks really great. The sound is really fantasic, very much bass and beautiful trebles, great Stella bark too and it's loud.  Comes with a new HSC.

A 108: 1932 Oscar Schmidt "Stella" standard size.  This is exact the model which appears in the 1932 OS catalog and was decribed as follows:

 

"Solid birchwood body, top edge and soundhole bound with white celluloid and beautifully colored purfling. Fancy strip of decalcomania through center of back. Shaded satinfinsih. Poplar neck. White pearlette Guardplate. White pearlette hheadpiece and fingerboard with inlaif ebony position dots. Silver frets, bone nut, nickelplated machine heads. Rosewood bone fretted bridge."

 

Our example is in very good condition. Fresh neck reset, new bone saddle, otherwise completly original. Brazilian rosewood bridge. Crackfree. The guitar has a very hughe sound, very balanced  with sweet trebles. Ideal for all sorts of fingerpicking. A special and rare decalcomania strip on the back, quite different from the usually used ones. Comes with a new HSC.

A 107: 1920 Oscar Schmidt "Galiano", standard size guitar. Solid birchwood body,  fancy decalcomania  on the top and all around the soundhole. This is one of the typical "brown front" Stellas. The guitar is crackfree and has a new vintage style  ebony bridge, new bone nut and saddle too. Fresh neck reset and dressed frets makes it to an excelent player. What makes ther guitar very special is the deep body, 9,5 cm at the deepest piont. As an result you have an very full, rich and warm sound.

A106: 1930s Oscar Schmidt " Sovereign" standard size guitar. The guitar has a  spruce top and mahagoni back and sides. New bone saddle and nut, otherwise completly original. All over condition is great. Finish is in great shape. The crackfree top is inlaid with a seldom seen fancy multicolor purfling. The soundhole and the center of the back too.  Top and back edge is bound in white celluloid. Original, repaired brazilien rosewood moustache bridge. Two older repaired back cracks, two older repaired side cracks  (not repaired by us, but all solid). Neck has been reset, and a screw hole in the neckheel was repaired sometimes in the past. Guitar plays great. Very balanced, throaty sound, ideal for fingerpicking blues and ragtime. A "Blind Blake guitar".

A 105: Stella Standard Size.  Tailpiece model with  birchwood body and poplar neck. Red sunburst finish. Top edge bound with white celluloid. Fancy decalcomania rosette around soundhole, decalcomania strip throught center of back. Crackfree body. Looks like this  amazing little guitar never was in need of repairs. Never had a neckreset and the neckangel is still pretty good. Action is low and ideal for fingerpicking. Frets are a little rough, but we decided to keep it in this original condition. Great player with great bluesy tone. New HSC included.

A 104: 1920's Sovereign standard size guitar. Top of the line model with inlaid pearl "Tree of life" inlaid fingerboard and colorful wood marquetry all around the top and back. This is a very rare and beautiful guitar. Solid red spruce top, solid mahagoni back and sides. The mahogany neck is bound in white and the head stock is overlaid with Brazillian rosewood. Ebony bridge and fretboard. New bridge pins otherwise all original. Brazilian rosewood covered and Sovereign embossed headstock. Fresh neckreset, two repaired back cracks, three repaired top cracks. This is a very loud guitar with a  lot of bass. Plays easy too. New HSC included

A 103: 1920's Grand  concert Stella guitar. This a great example of a grand concert Oscar Schmidt made guitar, restored to great playing condition. Grand concert sized Stellas are very hard to find. The guitar has solid spruce top, solid birch back and sides with rosewood  faux  finish. Rope wood marquentry and decalcomania strip through center of back. Fresh neckreset, two repaired back cracks, three repaired top cracks.  The guitar has a hugh sound with a lot of volume. New HSC included

B 101: Mid 1930s Harmony Supertone parlor guitar.  Typical Harmony from the 1930s. Solid birch top, back and sides.  New nut and saddle and new rosewood bridge, otherwise original condition. Fancy stencil Hawaiin motiv on the front. Guitar has a fresh neckreset, one top, a few back cracks and a small side crack repaired and now are solid. The guitar plays very easy and has a good ladder braced tone, not as full and rich as a Stella but a great blues picker and slide guitar too. A reasonably priced altrnative to a Stella. Guitar comes with an old chipboard case.

C 101: Santa Cruz OM. The  Santa Cruz Guitar Company was  founded in 1976

and is best known for their hight quality guitars. They use only the best tonewoods for building their instruments. Our example is in  mint,  original condition. Has a sitka spruce top, indian rosewood back and sides, mahagoni neck. Herringbone purfling all around the top and  soundhole. Deeply appreciated for fingerstyle and contemporary flat picking work, the OM is Santa Cruz's number one request. The OM provides clean, loud mid-range and trebles that are complimented by a slightly predominate bass. All over a clear balanced tone with very sweet trebles
