A 113: Early 1920s Oscar Schmidt Stella.  For many players the "Oak-Stellas" are
the best sounding ones. They produce a deep, loud, clear and woody bass. This one is no exception.

 It has a solid spruce top and solid oak back and sides. Poplar Neck. Top edge and soundhole is bound with white celluloid and beautifully colored purfling. Fancy strip of decalcomania through center of back. The neck very comfortable and has more a D than a V-profil. The guitar was restored to great playing condition by M. Hauver. It has a recent neck set, new bone nut and saddle and a new ebony pyramid bridge and has still the original frets. Comes with a new HSC.

A 112: 1930's Oscar Schmidt "Sunburst Stella" standard size.  Same model as the listed Marcia in good, crackfree original condition but with more playing wear. This is a players guitar. Sounds great and plays easy all up and down the neck.

Fancy strip of decalcomania through center of back. Shaded satinfinsih. V-shaped neck. Recent neck set, new bone nut and saddle and refretted fingerboard. Otherwise completly original. A 109: 1920's Oscar Schmidt "Stella" standard size.  Solid spruce top, solid birch back and sides. Poplar neck. Recent neckreset and refretted fingerboard makes this to an really great player. New vintage style ebony bridge, new bone nut.  Top edge and soundhole bound with white celluloid and beautifully colored purfling. Some hairline back cracks and two side cracks are professional and very well repaired. Decalcomania strip through center of back. Original yellow paper label. The guitar has a very nice patina and looks really great. The sound is really fantasic, very much bass and beautiful trebles, great Stella bark too and it's loud.  One of the finest sounding Stellas i had in the last years. Comes with a new HSC.

A 108: 1932 Oscar Schmidt "Stella" standard size.  This is exact the model which appears in the 1932 OS catalog and was decribed as follows:

 

"Solid birchwood body, top edge and soundhole bound with white celluloid and beautifully colored purfling. Fancy strip of decalcomania through center of back. Shaded satinfinsih. Poplar neck. White pearlette Guardplate. White pearlette headpiece and fingerboard with inlay ebony position dots. Silver frets, bone nut, nickelplated machine heads. Rosewood bone fretted bridge."

 

Our example is in very good condition and is very large for a concert sized guitar. The lower bout is 13,62" wide. Very special. Fresh neck reset, new bone saddle, otherwise completly original. Brazilian rosewood bridge. Crackfree. The guitar has a very hughe sound, very balanced  with sweet trebles. Ideal for all sorts of fingerpicking. A special and rare decalcomania strip on the back, quite different from the usually used ones. Comes with a new HSC.

A 107: 1920s Oscar Schmidt "Galiano", standard size guitar. Solid birchwood body,  fancy decalcomania  on the top and all around the soundhole. This is one of the typical "brown front" Stellas. The guitar is crackfree and has a new vintage style  ebony bridge, new bone nut and saddle too. Fresh neck reset and dressed frets makes it to an excelent player. What makes ther guitar very special is the deep body, 9,5 cm at the deepest piont. As an result you have a very full, rich and warm sound.

A 104: 1920's Sovereign standard size guitar. Top of the line model with inlaid pearl "Tree of life" inlaid fingerboard and colorful wood marquetry all around the top and back. This is a very rare and beautiful guitar. Solid red spruce top, solid mahagoni back and sides. The mahogany neck is bound in white and the head stock is overlaid with Brazillian rosewood. Ebony bridge and fretboard. New bridge pins otherwise all original. Brazilian rosewood covered and Sovereign embossed headstock. Repaired hairline headstock crack. Fresh neckreset, two repaired back cracks, three repaired top cracks. This is a very loud guitar with a  lot of bass. Plays easy too. New HSC included
